コーキーとともに

次男が幼児のころにＮＨＫＴＶで放送されていました。
純粋で懸命なコーキーを応援していました。
彼を支える心温かい家族を応援していました。
そうしながら、本当は自分達を励ましていました。

「ダウン症候群」を持って生まれたコーキーと彼を支えてゆく家族・友人の物語。
パパ、ママ、お茶目な妹、パパと先妻の間に生まれた美人のお姉さんがいました。

主題歌は、たぶん出演者がみんなで歌っていた"Ob-La-Di,Ob-La-Da"。
日本では第一シーズンのみ放送。

テレビシリーズ「コーキーとともに」のサッチャー家は素晴しい家族でしたが、クリス　バーグの家族も素晴しい家族であったようです。

クリス　バーグは4人兄弟の末っ子です。
医師は両親に彼を施設に入所させよとアドバイスしましたが、両親は自宅で療育することにしました。
その当時は考えられて居ないことでしたが、将来、職業人になるようにと教育されました。
兄弟達もクリスととも働きました。
就学年齢に達した時、クリスが健康で賢いことに多くの人達が驚いたそうです。
養護学校を卒業後、エレベーター係りとボランティア活動をしました。

クリスは最初、タップダンサーになるつもりでしたが、養護学校で目標を変えました。
夜間の授業をとって、触発され、オーデションを経験し、脚本を書き、本を読みました。

俳優であり、作家であり、ダウン症についてのスポークスマンであり、3人組のフォークグループのヴォーカルとして多くのチャリティーイベントに参加しています。
